Program description - September 2025

This one-year Ontario College Certificate will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the financial system in terms of financial institutions, financial instruments, and financial markets. This program covers necessary topics and issues regarding financial inclusion and access to finance. You will use a combination of methods to acquire necessary insights about financial service delivery and management in one of the biggest financial markets in the world. You will learn core aspects of effective communication to culturally diverse audiences, delivering financial services, client relationship management, financial innovation, digital opportunities for financial inclusion, financing small and medium enterprises (SMEs), risk management, marketing of financial services, and international aspects of financial inclusion.

    Financial assistance

    The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is a needs-based program designed to help eligible Ontario students cover the cost of post-secondary education. Funded by the federal and provincial governments, OSAP is intended to promote equality of opportunity for post-secondary studies through direct financial assistance (grants and loans) for educational costs and living expenses.
