Do you want to broaden your video and animation skills and take your media production techniques to the next level? Conestoga College's one-year graduate certificate in Computer Animation - Motion Graphics will provide you with a modern learning environment for creating seamless animated artwork and sequences, allowing you to pursue a career as a motion graphic designer, interactive media editor, post-production editor, or to integrate these elements into your current profession. Throughout the program, you will draw upon theory and techniques of the design, digital media, and animation worlds to conceptualize and create captivating 2D and 3D digital media for a variety of applications. Courses are taught by faculty with direct industry experience and cover a broad range of applications such as advanced image capturing and editing techniques, typography, colour theory, green screen techniques, rendering, digital compositing, and post production. Courses also feature a mix of teaching and hands-on lab time, giving you the space to develop and perfect your skills using leadingedge content editing software. Designed to reflect the requirements and workflows found in industry, the program includes both individual and collaborative team-based projects, design iteration, the use of professional design briefs, and budget considerations. You will develop a portfolio of original work that speaks to your unique strengths. To further support your transition to the workforce, the program facilitates a field placement where you will be given the opportunity to apply your skills to real projects.
